Please call Vandana if you are interested in joining!
August 23-Oct 25th, 2 Wednesday mornings/month 9-11am
The purpose of this group, based on the book The Artist's Way by Julia Cameron, is for people to meet and talk about their artistic challenges in any field (painting, writing, music etc.) and encourage each other to break their creative blocks and fulfill themselves in their creative pursuits. As a group we will work through the book ‘The Artists Way’. Everyone should have their own copy or feel free to download the pdf of the book online.
Every week we will review our work on a specific chapter of the group, including our experience of the Morning Pages and the Artist's Date. The format of the group is based on Julia Cameron's sacred circle concept so we will be sharing personal revelations and obstacles in a setting which is nurturing, healing and trusting. Each meeting will begin by a short guided meditation led by Vandana Sood-Giddings who is also the facilitator of the group. The purpose is to unite our spiritual and creative forces.
While Vandana will facilitate this group she will also be sharing her own material and taking her own creative risks with the group. This is a working group that aims to be egalitarian rather than a hierarchical one.
The group will be limited to 10 people.
Please contact Vandana if you are interested at firstname.lastname@example.org or call her at 646-591-7200
